Summary A way to merge two or more Figma Make files together — similar to how video editing tools let you combine, split, or cut clips on a timeline.

The problem When working on complex SaaS prototypes and flows, I often end up with multiple Figma Make files that each contain useful generated content. Right now, there's no way to bring them together without re-prompting from scratch — which means repeating context, losing time, and risking inconsistent output.

The idea A merge or "stitch" feature where you can:

  • Select two Figma Make files and combine them into one
  • Preview the contents of each file (like a video timeline view) before merging
  • Choose the order, split points, or which sections to keep — without having to re-generate anything

Why it matters For product designers working on multi-screen SaaS flows, being able to build up a prototype from modular Make sessions would massively speed up the process. It would make Figma Make feel less like a one-shot tool and more like a composable design system.

Use case Working on a SaaS prototype with onboarding + dashboard flows. I used Figma Make for each separately — would love to stitch them into one cohesive prototype file without starting over.

My team is also searching for a solution as to how we can stitch together separate Figma Make files so that there is one main file that essentially branches out and links to other, individual Figma Make files.

As a halfway workaround, we have been successful in prompting Figma Make to open a Figma Prototype in a new tab when a specific action is triggered (i.e., “When the user selects X button, open the following Figma Prototype URL in a new tab”). This helps to emulate a continued prototype experience but it does not 1. keep the experience contained in the same tab or 2. connect two Figma Make files together.

In theory this would also help to reduce file size and loading times. Hope to see a solution for this soon!
