As a system analyst, I often walk others through design files to confirm specifications or gather feedback—whether it’s with clients, internal teams, or stakeholders. In Axure, I’m used to having a fixed notes panel on the side—so I can present the screens on the right while referring to key talking points or structured notes on the left (Axure screenshot attached).

This setup has been incredibly helpful during presentations or walkthroughs. It keeps the discussion organized and lets me stay on track without jumping back and forth or losing context.

But in Figma, I constantly find myself dragging the screen around just to switch between designs and notes. Not only does it interrupt my own focus, but it also makes it harder for others to follow along, especially when the screen keeps shifting back and forth. It can be visually tiring and distracting for everyone involved, making the whole session feel less smooth and less clear.

I truly believe a fixed or detachable notes panel would be a huge improvement for anyone who needs to present or discuss design.

Curious to hear if others have the same take on this. Thanks! 🙏

+1 to this! I also run design walkthroughs in Figma, and constantly shifting between screens and notes really breaks the flow. A fixed or detachable notes panel would make presentations way smoother and easier to follow. Hope this gets considered! 🙏

+1 Totally agree! It’s distracting to keep dragging the screen back and forth. A fixed notes panel would make walkthroughs way smoother. Big yes from me!

Strongly support this. As someone who regularly leads design walkthroughs, I’ve found the lack of a stable notes view in Figma really affects presentation flow. A docked panel would make a huge difference

+1 from a systems analyst’s perspective.
In stakeholder walkthroughs, having a stable notes panel—like Axure’s—makes it much easier to keep discussions focused and structured. Constantly dragging between designs and notes in Figma breaks the flow and makes it harder for everyone to follow. A fixed or dockable notes view would be a very practical enhancement for presenters and reviewers alike.

Agree completely +1. In real project settings, especially when dealing with complex flows or regulatory systems, we rely heavily on contextual notes to keep stakeholders aligned. Figma’s current setup requires too much manual movement during presentations. A persistent notes panel would go a long way in improving both usability and communication clarity.

+1 Yes please! I always lose the flow switching between designs and notes. A side panel like Axure’s would make it so much easier to present and stay on track 🙏

A fixed notes panel would be a game-changer for design reviews and client presentations. It helps keep focus and avoids unnecessary screen movement. Really hope this gets added soon. +1 !

As a designer, I’d love this. Switching between designs and notes breaks the flow, especially when presenting. A fixed notes panel would make things so much smoother. +1 !

Totally need this! A Fixed Notes Panel could help me stay focused on explaining the flow during presentations, without the screen constantly scrolling and disrupting the logic.
It definitely makes UX/SA reports way better, I'd really appreciate if this could be considered~

This would be great.Would love to have a fixed notes panel for client presentations—would make things so much easier 😍
