Hello Figma Team,
Â
I’d like to suggest some improvements to Figma’s table workflow to make practical table editing much more efficient for real-world use cases.
Â
Currently, basic table layouts are possible, but there are still limitations when working with tables in professional design workflows. I believe the following improvements could greatly enhance usability:
Â
• Improved cell, row, and column editing
It would be helpful to have more intuitive controls for adding, deleting, duplicating, resizing, and merging cells, rows, and columns.
Â
• Better spreadsheet and external data integration
Connecting or importing data from Excel or Google Sheets more seamlessly into Figma tables would significantly improve workflow efficiency.
Â
• Bulk style editing for tables
Applying typography, padding, borders, background colors, and other styles across multiple cells at once would save a lot of production time.
Â
• Expanded use cases for calendars and schedules
If table functionality becomes more powerful, Figma could be used more effectively for company schedules, calendars, comparison charts, informational graphics, and presentation materials.
Â
Tables are no longer just for organizing information.
They are increasingly important in real-world workflows involving announcements, scheduling, documentation, dashboards, and presentation design.
Â
Strengthening this area could make Figma even more versatile for both designers and teams.
Â
Thank you for your work and consideration.
