Hi Figma-Team, 

I’m experiencing some issues with the pre-selection of my Figma-Account.

Issue 1
I’ve added two accounts of the same organisation to Figma. One account is my preferred account, which I use regularly. The second account, I use solely to check Design System analytics from time to time. 

Usually, when I was opening a link outside of Figma, I was being asked, with which account I would like to open the file. But lately, I’m not being asked and Figma just opens the file with the second account, which I don’t use in 99% of my time. 

The only workaround is copying the link and pasting it via “Open File URL from Clipboard”, which will then let me open the file with my preferred account. 

I would wish for a better solution to switch between accounts within a file. 
 




Issue 2
I’m experiencing the same issue with forum.figma.com. When I try to login, the second account is preselected. You can’t delete the pre-selected e-mail address. You can’t switch accounts.

The only workaround is opening the link in incognito mode to sign in with the preferred account. 

I would wish for a better way to switch accounts in the forum.

✅ Problem solved

I wasn’t logged in with my preferred account in the web app, only in the desktop app. Therefore Figma wasn’t asking with which account I would like to open the file and was sending me constantly to the wrong account. Not sure, why I was logged out in the web app – but well, I’m glad it’s working again. 

Still, it would be great to be able to switch accounts within a file.
