Expose/hide nested instances -> at component property level

With the new update, we have a great new feature, but unfortunately, it’s not usable with our component structure.
Exposing all props of a nested instance also exposes props that we don’t want in the context of the consuming component.

What if we could also select which properties to expose? This would lead to a cleaner sidebar with only valid props.

This along with the non collapsing audolayouts are 2 of the most major flaws of Figma, both have been well called out for over 2 years, and there appears to be n o priority of focus given to them rather they wasting time on AI to redraw already established apps.

This is so much needed for Atomic Design. When I’m nesting an Atom inside a Molecule inside an Organism, the organism interface is exploding with option the user of the component shouldn’t have.

As a member of a large corporation, I believe this feature would be extremely valuable for our operations. We're currently in the process of revamping our legacy components, and implementing this would provide us with significantly greater flexibility in our systems.

Hey all, PM responsible for Component Props. Just wanted to say totally hear the desires and needs for this feature, and it’s something we intend to build at some point. Right now other DS-related features are ahead in priority for us, but part of those priorities do include updates to component props. This is not a forgotten part of the product - were still doing active development here.

Would really like to know what based the decision to not make it the priority when 3 different people asked for it in less than 24hr. This is still one of the most active topic in the forum, this is really disappointing to hear tbh.

This is important, especially with tables
