Exporting PDF - Quality of life improvement ideas

I am using Figma on almost a daily basis. Great product! Thanks to the whole team!

I have met several issues, but PDF export is the most problematic for me. When used with complex projects, it produces a huge file with a lot of garbage.

Hyperlinks are not exported.

Also, the PDF is unusable in Illustrator.

P.S. I tried many plugins, but none of them exported PDF properly. Pitchdeck Presentation Studio says it exports hyperlinks, but it exports links to PDFs for only for very simple Figma projects.

I agree that the PDF exports are pretty much worthless. Type is not selectable, opening it in Acrobat is a nightmare. Please fix this!

Can you guys improve the pdf export features? Like why aren’t we getting some useful tools to link Figma files in general to others adobe product like Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign + CMJN colors & Prints optimization? It will for sure greatly improve our creative workflows. I understand that figma is a web design tool but Figma can do so much more!!!

While there have been improvements (like the ability to do high resolution export), PDFs are still hard to manage:

• When exporting at lower resolutions, we sometimes get colored boxes as portions of the PDF output.
• When exporting at full quality, we do get good PDFs except they are HUGE so we have to manually compress them down, which slows our work when on deadline.
