Thanks for adding annotations to Design Mode. I have been spending the last day annotating some new design ideas. People who have access to the Figma file love that they can read come design rationale and interaction behaviors.

For others, who do not have access, or do not use Figma it would be great if I can export the annotations associated with objects inside a frame.

Thanks,

K.

Agreed! Annotations are great, but it’s a little jarring when I hit Shift+Y to toggle them off and I see nothing and realize this is what other people see who don’t know the annotations are there. I’d love to see a checkbox in the export menu that says “Export with annotations” so that I can share with people who don’t use Figma.

Came here from trying to find out if there was a way to already do this - would love this feature!

Please make this feature available -- I work in Healthcare and heavily annotated PDFs are required for reviews and approvals. Having the ability to export frames as a PDF with annotations included would be a massive time-saver!

This feature would help signifcantly with some our our workflows.

Would absolutely love to be able to export Annotations via multiple ways for different use cases.

  1. Export all annotations (w/in page, w/in file, etc.) into a CSV and/or Excel file. (would love to be able to add additional custom tags in addition to the categories.)
  2. Export annotations visually to PDF along with the frame they are associated with.
    • e.g., If multiple frames are on a single Section, that the annotations for those frames can be exported with the frame displayed as situated on the Section. (Sections can be exported to PDF, but it seems not yet multiple Sections at once into a multi-page PDF file.)
    • or, if a frame or multiple frames are selected, there’s an option to export with annotations, which would display visually next to the frame in the PDF.

Thank you.
