To the Figma Team and the broader Community,

I am writing with an urgent and passionate plea: please make Code Connect a part of the Professional plan. To gatekeep this incredibly powerful feature feels like a direct rejection of the modern, agile way so many of us build products today.

The world is moving towards small, high-impact teams, single-person companies supercharged by AI, and freelancers who handle both design and development. We, the users on your Professional plan, are at the heart of this movement. We live and breathe the transition from pixel to production code.

Why are you creating this artificial wall between our designs and our code? Code Connect isn't just a convenience for large organizations; it's a revolutionary workflow enhancement for the exact type of user on the Professional plan. It promises to eliminate the friction that we face every single day. To lock it behind a higher paywall is to create an unnecessary and painful partiality, sending the message that our work as builders is less valid.

This feature is the missing link. It's the bridge we desperately need. Limiting it tells us that unless we're a large-scale team, we're not entitled to the most efficient workflow possible on your platform.

We are begging you to see that Code Connect is a fundamental need, not a luxury. We are the ones building the future on your platform, and we need the best tools to do it.

Here is the feature we are asking you to unlock for us: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/23920389749655-Code-Connect

Please, empower your core user base. Don't create barriers to our creativity and productivity. We need Code Connect now.

Subject: A Gentle Monday Reminder: Please, We're Begging for Code Connect on the Professional Plan

Hello to the incredible Figma team,

This is just a very gentle Monday morning reminder about a feature request that is deeply important to so many of us on the Professional plan.

We know you are all performing the monumental task of innovating and pushing Figma forward, and we are truly grateful for the incredible work you do. It's completely understandable that with such a heavy workload and so many big projects, a feature request like this might get accidentally overlooked or buried in the backlog.

That is why I am writing this. I just want to gently bring this back to your attention, in case it has been missed. We are humbly and desperately begging you to please consider making Code Connect available on the Professional plan. For the many freelancers and small teams who rely on Figma, this feature is a critical bridge, not a luxury.

Please forgive my persistence, but this is so vital to our workflow that I plan to post a gentle reminder here every Monday. My intention is not to be a nuisance, but simply to act as a small, consistent signal in the hopes that it eventually reaches the right person at a moment when they can consider it.

We are pleading with you to please not forget about us.

Thank you for your time and for everything you do.

There was no reminder posted yesterday, but I’ll echo my support of this. I was excited to get my small team into Dev Mode (there’s about 6 of us working on a product), but have now discovered that I would need to increase spending on Figma significantly to access Code Connect.

Such a feature is useful to any type of team regardless of size or spending capacity and I'm pretty disappointed to find that it’s locked behind a) Dev Mode seats and then b) upgrading to organization level.

So Dev Mode (C$384/yr) could have brought myself and two key developers together, getting us all on one platform with space to grow and a place to store all documentation and reference materials … but the Dev Mode capabilities sort of stop halfway unless I get my organization to approve even more spending on top of Dev Mode, to the tune of C$1,100 per year. We are not organization sized! We are professionals, on a small team!

The cost to enter seems a bit steep. Or money-hungry, one might think.
