Dev mode only sharing (WITHOUT PAYING FOR SEATS)

This practice is unacceptable and constitutes a dark pattern for collaboration.

Figma used to boast about its unique and less predatory approach compared to Adobe.

This is same path, they innovated, and implemented predatory payment practices when designers are all dependent on said innovation.

This is truly disheartening.

Same issue, we have various clients, we pay for Figma to work on our files, now developers hired by our clients needs to work on the files and they request WE pay for a seat for them? WHY? we already paid for a subscription, we have seats for all our designers, the files the developers will work on are in OUR paid subscription. 

Not only that, some developers already have a PAID Figma account! Yet we need to pay for them AGAIN??? we are a small design studio, we can not pay a seat for each developer of each client for every project we work on. What are you guys thinking exactly?

I don’t understand this practice, this practice is unmanageable, unacceptable and completely not understandable. 

If you guys remember how Sketch was the industry standard and then you came along? well remember if you continue like this you will be left behind. Completely unacceptable Figma!

We are looking for alternatives now and hopefully soon we will leave your unethical practices behind.
Shame on you Figma, UNACCEPTABLE!
 

Hey this is still something that persists!
Kindly make allowance for free dev access, it’s cumbersome and a costly affair to keep adding dev seats
