Create one prototype across the pages in a file

I would love to be able to create one prototype across the pages in a file that resembles an actual website. This would be ideal for bigger projects and would be easier to maintain as well. We can connect the component libraries across all the pages anyways. A way to connect the prototype would be great in my opinion and that will give Figma a big leg up on other platforms.

What do you guys think?

It’s very disappointing that Figma haven’t developed this feature yet. I’m considering to use another tool seriously. Such an important feature for a UI designer’s workflow 👎

I really need this. Otherwise the whole pages thing is basically pointless.

@Figma_support it’s really basic feature and I would consider using other tools as it’s a show-stopper to me.

Having the same issue here, wanting to have dropdowns in a navbar using an open overlay prototype, however, I have the navbar (obviously) inside a main design page for my project so that I can import it on all my pages of the site, instead of needing to add the navbar to every single page. This works fine, but as soon as the navbar includes dropdowns using an open overlay prototype it doesn’t work anymore on other pages than the design page.

+1 this feature is needed ASAP! I am considering starting an entire project using Sketch instead of Figma where I am able to link across pages in my prototype to allow a user-friendly navigation for my stakeholders and clients.
