Components in text

+1 I’m working on a game tutorial with input icons mid text and this feature would be super useful. 

I have heard of others making fonts out of their icons which they’ve said has been useful in Figma and good for optimization in game. Might have to do that.

This is a missed but vital feature. This is a base of css display:inline-block, and you need a functionality to mimic this in UI design; we are doing web mobile UI not canvas poster, please add this feature...

+1 to this! Have been waiting ages for something like this. Would be especially helpful for inline links with an external icon (so not just plain text links within a paragraph).

While I wish there was a more concrete update, please know that this feature request is being tracked with this thread attached, including the specific use cases raised here: inline icons and link components in paragraphs, trailing icons on wrapping headlines, inline code and badge treatments, and text/component baseline alignment in responsive text fields.

It is definitely on our team’s radar, but I don’t have any exact timeline to share yet. I'll come back here when I have a more firm update from the team. We appreciate your patience.

Good to hear, but really sad to see you pushing hard on AI features but neglect the core features of Figma
