Hello,
it would be nice to have the option to insert floating components inside text (like Emojis).
Use case would be for signs or infos in complex dashboards. Its a hustle to do this now manually and also set kind of boundingboxes to sync different heighs of text and component.

Saddly I need this feature as well. I’ve been able to cobble together a version where:
each word is a separate text component and used wrap to get them all to work together.
but since ive got to now add a whole page worth of text and “component” its going to be a right pain
so another +1 for this feature please!

Such a good quote snippet! Can be used for many missing features. With all the AI advances, I was hoping that Figma would use AI to accelerate the implementation of a lot of smaller features. To be fair, maybe this one is complicated and requires a non-trivial rendering engine rewrite. But for sure there are tons of smaller features that can probably be implemented relatively quickly. Anyone remember “Little big updates” that Figma used to do? Seems quite paradoxical to me: “We believe in AI so much that we’re going to implement it in our app for our users, but not so much that it can be used to fix smaller issues and provide quality of life improvements.” I want to be fair and say I’m probably missing something, but something seems off here.

I really need this feature too… our design system has separate “link” components that are more than just a text style so it’s almost impossible to place it inline with text currently in Figma. :(
+1 I’m working on a game tutorial with input icons mid text and this feature would be super useful.
I have heard of others making fonts out of their icons which they’ve said has been useful in Figma and good for optimization in game. Might have to do that.
