Comments managment

Working with comments in Figma is still very inconvenient. There are several features that are greatly missed for easier management:

  1. Group management of comments. For example, to select a group of comments and move them on the page, to another page, delete them, or resolve them. For now, I have to go through and delete comments one by one!

  2. Lack of access policies. Case: I shared the prototype with a client, but I don’t want the client to see the internal comments from team members (comments from the editing mode are accessible in prototypes for some reason).

  3. «Done» all comments on a page/file.

  4. Basic filters: by user, specific day.

  5. Tags! Different team members comment on different topics: UX, art, dev, business, etc. There needs to be a way to filter comments not only by team members but also by themes. The simplest thing: hashtags! For example, we could specify something like #front-end in comments, and then click on the hashtag to see all comments related to that topic.

Hey @Dmitry_Mezenin, thanks for the feedback!

We’ll pass this onto the team for future consideration.

I’d love to +1 the tags! Personally I like to leave comments on reference of screens that I pull into Figma of similar experiences and what I like / dislike. It’s a source of record-keeping and a way for my teammates to weigh in on my thought process for features a bit more distance on our product roadmap. It would be sooooo amazing if I could separate those into their own category through #’s or some other clear to label the comments.

In theory I could @myself and filter by those comments, but I want to reserve that for pressing comments on the current screens. This would be such a great quality of life improvement!
