It’d be awesome if I could change the BG color of the entire work area because mostly my team’s UI uses white. Pretty please? 😍

Upvote, this should be low hanging fruit for the devs.

Updoot! Background color options for Figjam would be so tight. Or at least a dark mode for the love of my eyeballs.

For now, I just added a section around everything and change the color to a dark one. It can help if you really want to work with the screen darker.

Bumping this. I am using a huge black shape in the background, which is clunky but ok. However when pulling it into Notion, it doesn’t respect its layer order and displays the big black shape on top of everything.

I can’t believe it’s as easy as changing the Background while nothing is selected. That isn’t nearly as obvious as it should be. I think it should be called Canvas Background, and should be accessible from the Preferences section of the main Figma menu—or from the context menu when you right click on the Canvas itself. This is pretty poor UX.

It should also be applied across all pages as the default, and have a Light and Dark variant setting, so when the theme changes, the background adapts.
