Can we move the Figma Annotations (in dev mode) from one Figma project to another?

I am trying to use the new annotation tool in Dev Mode. I have 2 questions:

  1. I have made annotations on a frame in a Figma project. When I move this frame to another project, the annotations do not move. Is there a way to move the annotations too?

  2. During annotating frames, is it possible to annotate multiple components/frames together?

    The Annotation feature is such a valuable feature. Would definitely benefit to have the ability to move it to a different place with the link still attached to the element.

      Yes, adding my voice to this. We have a massive project where we are duplicating screens all the time and annotations need to follow these screens. It creates a lot of rework otherwise.

      Also, consider redoing that tabbing order to TAB 1 to the category if possible. Thanks!

      It has been a year since this thread was created and yet nothing. Seems like such a small feature that would be so valuable. Is Figma even listening to people anymore or just focusing on new fancy AI features to please investors? 🤷

      As far as I know, Figma annotations in Dev Mode aren't currently designed to be transferred directly between separate projects. A workaround is to duplicate the relevant files and keep the annotation structure intact. We ran into a similar issue while documenting workflows and found that planning asset organization early saves a lot of time. https://removalistnumberone.com.au/
