Bug: Problem with typing in Korean (Hangul)

  1. Describe the problem your experiencing and how your idea helps solve this
    I got a few reports that text function works weirdly when typing Korean these days. (the video below was taken a week ago, and I still have the same issue)
    it gets better after rebooting Figma completely, but it is not the best solution.

Korean people are having the same issue these days, here’s a reference from Korean community;

  1. Add as much context as possible (screenshots, Figma files, mockups, etc.)

  2. Ask questions to bring the community into the conversation
    (e.g. Does anyone else experience this? Is anyone using a plugin or workaround to help solve this?, etc.

Is there any way I can solve this problem as a user? Or is Figma team already working on this bug? Thanks in advance 🙂

    Last year, i had this issue. However, It seems fixed and i use the Figma with no problem. But suddenly this issue occurs again from a few days ago. I did check the update, off and on my computer. But it doesn’t work.

    I still have problem with typing Korean…and I’m facing new issue that I can’t see some Korean words after few hours in design which I already typed. I can only see when I click the text boxes, but the real problem is, when I share the design, other people also have to click every single text boxes. Please help…

      Still experiencing this issue on Mac… Typing words faster didnt work for me… This issue slows down my workflow 😦 Any updates on this issue?

      People are paying for this service and it won’t even support a proper text typing.
      Do Figma team wants to solve this problem or not?

      On one occasion, it seems fixed through updates.
      On another occasion, it just suddenly gives up working properly.

      Last month, Figma had issues with local font loading which I had to uninstall the current version, find the months old install file from the recycle bin, and reinstall that old version.
      After that, I accidentally update back to new version and then it was solved. The very version that had local font missing! What happened to the consistency of your product?

      Now weeks later, this Korean alphabet issue suddenly pops up and googling it shows that this is ANOTHER problem they just seized to resolve.

      And this is not a free software and we are even paying for this suffering!
      At least provide us with install files that we could go back to older versions!
