Auto layout sometimes causes more problems than it solves. When I get a set of wireframes from someone else, I find it causes a lot of wasted time trying to figure what objects are using it and shut it down for each one.
There should be a setting to just turn Auto Layout off for the whole file.
The way is works per object right now is a huge time waster in using this product.

I get this frustration completely. Auto Layout is powerful, but it can feel like a trap when you inherit someone else’s file. You spend more time hunting constraints than actually designing. Turning it off object by object is exhausting. A global toggle would save hours. Even a clear indicator of what’s using it would help. Right now it feels like fighting the tool instead of using it. Auto Layout should be opt-in, not something you have to dismantle piece by piece. You’re not wrong. This is a real workflow issue, not user error.
