I’d like to insert an image into a cell in a table in FigJam so that it moves with the table as it expands and changes size. Currently, I’m just having to drag pictures around with the table as it expands which is fine for one or two images but I have many!

One workaround is to copy the table into Figma. There, you can set the cell's fill properties to "picture", insert the picture you want, then copy the whole table back to FigJam. Of course this sets the picture as the cell's background, which isn't always useful...

also trying to use FigJam for UAT and its impossible to do it quickly because I can’t put images in the tables.

Insert of images inside a table should be a given, with the chance to quickly drag&drop or update the image itself. As someone else referenced, this could be also valuable for other elements, such components.

To be transparent, please know that putting images (and other objects) inside table cells so they stay anchored when you add, move, or resize rows and columns is being tracked by our FigJam team as an active request. But it has not been scheduled on the roadmap yet so I don't have an exact timeline to share.
What I can tell you is that tables have been getting attention. Two asks raised right here in this thread shipped in April: merging table cells and text color inside cells. While those are not the thing most of you are asking for, but it's a good sign that FigJam team is paying attention. 👀
In the meantime, a couple of temporary solutions the community has shared here:
- @d.busheikin's widget for images in cells (copy/paste works better than drag-and-drop)
- Copying the table into Figma Design, setting a cell's fill to an image, then copying back (works if a background image is good enough for your use case)
