The current limitation makes no sense. It's super annoying and problematic. Just allow it like how it’s possible in a Figma Design file.
Allow using system fonts in FigJam
You can use system fonts in FigJam. Here’s how I do it.
- Create a text box (or boxes) in Figma with all off the type faces you want to use in FigJam. I create one text box for each font family.
- Copy that box and paste it into your FigJam project. Voila, the entire font family is available in FigJam
- Note: the font has to be active in your system Fonts / Font manager.

I tried this out, the issue is, only the pasted text has that font applied to it. I can’t use that font on FigJam tables and things native to FigJam.
That’s not my experience. Be sure to hit T or create a fresh text box before pasting from Figma.
