I get the minimized UI, but I can’t be the only one who finds it a nuisance to have to maximize the UI in order to change pages…

Yes! I wanted to suggest the same thing!
I love the new minimized UI, but I have the habit of navigating between pages and layers very often, so leaving the UI minimized actually prevents me from doing that.
I don’t see why we couldn’t have it so that the left menu items can look like the right menu, like a floating window. Or at least have the option to do so.

Agreed! I’d love to use the minimal UI more if it had this functionality. I really like it now, but switching between pages is annoying.
