My suggestions is to allow users to include annotations and / or measurements when they export images. Seems that we can’t currently do this
The user benefits –
allows users to share images with annotations and measurements when creating images to be shared wither wider stakeholders and creating documentation for other platforms.
If we can’t export annotations and measurements, then for those instances requiring annotations in an export as an image, users won’t use the annotations feature, and revert to creating “Notes” manually
Hope this makes sense
Just came here to request the same thing. Great for design system image creation rather than having to manually do this through graphics. This would be a great addition saving a lot of time in the process especially when maintaining large systems.
It would be incredibly helpful to have the ability to include annotations (comments, callouts, labels, etc.) directly in exported images.
In many workflows—especially for sharing with clients, stakeholders, or developers—annotations are essential for context and explanation. Currently, we have to manually add annotations to the design itself or share them separately, which is time-consuming and can lead to miscommunication.
Proposed Solution: A toggle in the export dialog (e.g., “Include Annotations”) that, when enabled, includes visible annotations in the exported PNG/JPG/PDF.
This feature would greatly streamline feedback loops and improve clarity in communication across teams.
