Adjust share link preview for Teams

It seems that previously link previews were updated in slack to show what was being shared instead of the entire canvas. I missed that and now my links are just links, no preview. Which is better than previewing the entire canvas still.

I have the same suggestion for link previews in Teams. Please stop showing the entire canvas in Teams previews and either show just what is being shared, or just don’t show anything.

Current UX is horrible. Fix it please.

Figma needs to enable link previews for items shared in MS Teams. It currently just shares a giant image of the canvas—completely useless and taking up so much space.

MS Teams now has a larger user base than Slack. It is time Figma invests in improving the product instead of chasing the AI bubble.

I’m also a Microsoft Teams user.

Many times when someone shares a Figma link the preview says “Looks like this file doesn’t exist, or you don’t have access to it”. I feel like this is less for Figma files and more for sharing things like Figma blog posts and stuff. The links work just fine so the error message is inaccurate.

Also when sharing a link to designs I wish the link preview showed the actual page the design is on (instead of just the first page in the file) or if sharing a link to a frame, just show that frame. That way the preview is more representative of what is actually being shared.

I completely agree. Showing the entire canvas in a link preview can be distracting and may reveal more content than intended. A preview that only shows the specific content being shared—or simply displaying the link without a preview—would be much cleaner and more useful in Teams.
