Adding a link to object in slides

Figma, I love you. However, I think it was a poor decision to seemingly prioritize AI functionality over simple things like hyperlinking an image/object and using components in Slides. And while we're at it, maybe subfolder organizing abilities within teams?

I am very excited for the potential of Figma slides, less excited about artificial intelligence doing my job (poorly).

There is a little link tab in the bottom right menu. You can add a URL to your text. For example, I used it to add a URL to the text of my button. You can then group the text with the button shape and it works exactly like in prototype :)

It turns out the ‘Link’ tab only show when NOT in Design Mode… We were going crazy looking for it.

Any Updates on this? We definitely need this feature which seems basic to me. Sometimes we jump from one slide to another, for example an overview of features. Placing a hidden Text is time consuming and annoying.

I've been creating transparent 'hit boxes' in Design mode and overlaying them, but it's super clunky. Having a native 'Add Link' shortcut (like Cmd+K) right inside the Slides interface would make life so much easier.

It's hard to believe a basic and essential feature like this doesn't exist yet in figma slide. This product has so much potential and i really hope the team could focus more on it instead of constantly releasing half-baked tools.
