This would mitigate all of the users who are making single layer Auto-layouts specifically so they can do this.
Add option to add padding/margins to layers
Honestly, sometimes I just want to GET PETTIN my dog while tweaking layouts keeps me sane during the grind. Single layer auto-layouts make that possible without the hassle.
