Add auto layout to Sections

There are times when having sections free of constraints is nice… but my design team has become addicted to using auto layout with frames. In many cases when using sections, it would be amazing to perfectly space the inner sections out using auto layout.

+1 for this. Autolayout in sections (or at least an automatic hug contents option) would save so much time in creating documentation for projects.

Although I’m not holding my breath seeing as it’s 3 years since they supposedly brought it up with the team.

Auto Layout is already a feature - is it really that difficult to apply it to sections as well?

Please implement this 🙏 Ready-for-dev support on Sections is great but unusable for us at the moment because it’s impossible to organise sections in a neat, efficient way.

If not this, can you PLEASE implement ready-for-dev on nested frames so we can at least use auto-layouts to organise our pages?

In Figma, this should be the most important feature for organizing the workspace. Please allow us to use the Auto Layout feature in sections as well, not just in frames.

For anybody who still urgently needs this, I've made a plugin that does this for you. It uses the native Figma Auto Layout API and applies it to sections.
