Access the design panel from within Version History

I am faced with the following issue, I have lost all the links to font styles within my file. In order to use the version history to understand what happened and maybe to come back to a correct version I have the following problem:
I cannot go back to the a selected version, and at the same time see the design panel to view if the font style has been assigned This is impossible as the design panel is covered by the version history panel and therefore I cannot perform my check.
