Question

Ability to open multiple pages of the same file in separate tabs

Michelle_R

I often work across multiple pages within a single Figma file/project, and I’d love the ability to open different pages as separate tabs in the desktop app—just like I can open different files. Currently, I have to either open and close multiple pages many times to get what I need from other pages, use multiple windows or duplicate the file, which isn't ideal for managing design systems or multi-page projects.

This would greatly improve workflow efficiency for designers managing large files or working across different sections (e.g., desktop vs. mobile layouts) simultaneously.

Please consider adding support for tabbed views of multiple pages within the same file.

This is totally essential, and a very frustrating omission currently.

I work on large files with multiple pages, and currently can’t easily work (or show) multiple parts of it at once.

The only workaround is to open multiple windows, but this is a nightmare as they’re all called the same thing and may have other tabs hidden within them, so involves a lot of random clicking back and forth to try and find what you’re working on. Very unprofessional when trying to show a team what you’ve been working on.

The only other alternative is to go back to the browser, making the app pointless.

Either the same file needs to be opened in a new tab, or a specific page can be. Either works, but one or the other is a desperate requirement for me.
