A Lock for guides/rulers

As a user I want to lock the guides so that I dont accidently select or move them.

This is frustrating. There are times when layout grids are are the correct tool to use and a time when guides/rules are the correct tool.

When you are zoomed out it’s impossible to select elements without selecting or moving guides/rules.

            I use guides outside of artboards for example to add explainer text below. Locking guides would be very useful in this case. Instead right now I have to create a

                INSANE that you can build an app in Figma but you can’t lock the guides 😡

                  I don't know what the feature implementation process is at Figma but inclusion of decades old, common sense UX features present across the board in every graphics software out there shouldn’t be a “top requested feature”, it should be graphics software UI 101
