Hey! For the past year I've been working on a tool to simplify my work process (mostly design reviews), and I decided to take a break and share it with the community so it can help you too! Any feedback would really help me perfect it further.
It’s free, it’s called Style Hunter, and it lets you scan your selection or the entire page for every classic style, variable, and raw HEX/text values. It has helpful filters and mass-selection options. It basically does what you expect and helps hunt down unassigned layers, forgotten tokens, legacy styles, lost local variables, etc. I mainly use it to check designs and test new design systems, quickly selecting and swapping tokens.
The key idea was simplicity, so I intentionally didn’t add "fixing" capabilities, duplicate/mirror existing Figma tools, or include many buttons and settings. Colors and texts are always in view; with the filters you can set up Style Hunter as a cleanup checklist. Super Selection Panel (at the bottom of the UI) is a powerful addition for mass-selecting and navigating colors, and will receive text support in the future as well.
Key features
-
Scans any selection or the entire page (hidden layers and masks included!).
-
Finds classic styles, variables, and raw values (even texts!), then filters by type, source, or “unstyled.”
-
Lets you hide unwanted results like illustration colors (remembers per page) and auto-groups duplicates.
-
Super Selection Panel: cycle matching layers, mass-select them all at once. Won’t call it ‘smart’
But it does the job!
Give it a try! I’d really appreciate hearing your thoughts and ideas!
