I've pasted #0F172A into a variables file roughly eighty times this month. Every time we tweaked our dark mode contrast, I was the one manually updating theme.ts and waiting for the GitHub action to run. Tracking down a rogue #111827 that sneaked into a border utility was driving me slowly insane.
I'm a UX engineer, so I finally built a plugin to push Figma tokens straight to the repository. We actually deleted our entire tokens Slack channel last week because the pull requests just generate themselves with visual diffs now.

How often do your developers accidentally hardcode colours instead of using your variables?
