Question

Why oh why did you change the color hex value field and transparency mechanism??

You just added 1 to 2 clicks to a feature that worked perfectly fine and only required one click.
As a power user that needs to quickly select a hex value or change it you just added the equivalent of hundreds more clicks a day to my work load. I know I probably sound pathetic but I’m having a hard time justifying the changes to what I thought was a functionality that was as simple as efficient. Why add complexity to simplicity??
Am I the only one complaining about this?

Just found out about this regression too. Really insane that this is happening. Unfortunately, this is probably part of a “new, better UI!”, not a mistake. Figma’s UI changes several times a year, which is already unacceptable, but now they’re taking away simple and useful features like fast color/opacity controls — that just doesn’t feel real. And they’re not even hiding this behind a paywall; they’re just taking it away for no reason.

Though, this is what happens when marketing guys start running the product instead of those who actually care and understand what a real user’s workflow looks and feels like.

Sadly, Figma is no longer the product we once loved. Now it’s all about making money, in the worst way, and the people who do that never actually care about users. Time to look for alternatives.
