[Solved] Publishing button for Figma Make now buried

Took me a minute this morning to find the new placement of the publish button for figma make prototypes. This is an action I am frequently doing as I push changes/updates to those who have access to the designs. I liked the old placement of this much better which wasn't buried two levels deep.

With this latest change, putting it under the share button > publish > 1st line item - it is less clicks to change the URL of the prototype which is share button > ‘update’ icon, which is an action I would never want to do. If anything updating the URL of the prototype should be several levels deep; not publishing changes.

Hey, @Jordan15 👋 Could you please share a few screenshots of what you’re seeing on your end? (Large enough to see the full context is great!) Also, are you using a web browser or the Figma Desktop app for Figma Make? This info helps me coordinate with our team and effectively share your feedback. Thanks – Jaycee

Hi @Jaycee Lewis, the UI has reverted back to how it had been previously with the publish button at the top right of the screen (no longer buried in the share buttons submenu). Was there some a/b testing going on with a different layout?

Hi, @Alex Xenon7 if this is still happening, you can open a support ticket by using the steps listed here — What to share in a bug report to Figma Support

To help us investigate, please:

  • Share the URL of the affected file(s)
  • Grant edit access to support-share@figma.com so our team can attempt to reproduce the issue (Sharing file access won't impact your billing — it just allows our team to debug further on their end. Please be sure to use your Figma email account when sharing)
  • Include a full-size screen recording of the issue, if possible

Thanks for your help! — Jaycee
