I’m working on the initial ideation and brainstorming solutions using Figma for the product I’m working on. I’m genuinely happy with the results it has generated on rough level, it has helped in making my execution process faster. But I have been consistently seeing a pattern where in certain designs it provides certain features or context which are unexplained or we’re unable to understand. I tried asking within the chat itself to explain what exactly that feature means and how is it relevant in our product but it wasn’t able to answer. Also the point and edit features has been working very slow. I was assuming if it is getting heavy for make to prompt and edit / also answer questions about feature’s vagueness in the same chat estate. Shall we have a different chat estate just to ask questions about what features it has exactly designed, if it has ability to explain the context it will be helpful for us to use it or rather shape and align with our use case if it shall surpass.

In conclusion, sometimes vaguely designs features in the flow which we are very much curious to know about in detail or want to ask it’s own perspective for adding it but we’re unable to receive that output here.

Hi @Shruti Chavan! Thank you for your post - glad to hear that you’ve been generally happy with your experience with Figma Make.

Have you tried clearing the chat context? Unexplained or unexpected outputs and slow editing are clear indicators of too much or conflicting context, so clearing context from your chat window is a good solution. It sounds like you’re already thinking along these lines when you mention it getting heavy for Make to prompt and edit.

To clear chat context, click on the gear icon on the top right in Figma Make, then choose General. Next, on the Settings page click Clear context at the bottom of the General section. Note that clearing context is irreversible, so make sure you’re really ready to to remove all prior instructions and history.

Let me know how it goes!
