No Longer can hold click to show and hide layers???

Hey ​@Jatmiko_Gunawan, thanks for sharing the screenshot! That confirms you're on our updated layers panel, which lines up with what I found: this is a known issue. The click-and-drag-to-toggle-visibility behaviour for multiple layers didn't carry over as expected when we made updates to the panel. It's on our radar and the team's working on bringing it back, though I don't have a timeline to share just yet.

In the meantime, here's a faster option than clicking one by one:

1. Select the layers you want to hide (Shift-click or Cmd/Ctrl-click to select multiple)
2. Click the visibility (eye) icon in the Appearance section of the right sidebar

This toggles visibility for the whole selection at once. Here's more on toggling layer visibility if it's helpful.

Thanks for the response, I'm facing the same issue and was about to create a topic on that before finding this one. Also, besides not being able to click-and-drag for toggling multiple layers, every time I toggle the visibility by just clicking on the eye it automatically selects the layer I'm hiding. Very annoying. Is the team aware of this issue/working on it?

Also ​@Jatmiko_Gunawan you can select the layers and press cmd + shift + H to hide it all at once.

Hey @Vickie Carvalho, nice catch with cmd + shift + H, that's actually the documented shortcut for toggling visibility, so that'll work against a multi-layer selection too.

On the eye icon selecting the layer every time you click it: I've flagged this for the team to look into. I am not sure yet if it's intentional or a potential bug. 

If you're able to grab a quick screen recording of it happening, that'd help a lot. If you can also let me know whether you're on the browser or the desktop app, and whether it happens in every file or just specific ones. 

In the meantime, a couple of options that sidestep the reselect:

1. Select your layers first (Shift-click or Cmd/Ctrl-click), then use the eye icon in the Appearance section of the right sidebar. 
2. Use cmd + shift + H once you've made your selection.

The click-and-drag issue for multiple layers is still with the team, and there's been meaningful progress on it since my last update. I don't have a release date to share yet, but it's actively moving forward.

Thanks for notifying the team and for the workaround suggestions!

It's a small issue but has been driving me crazy because I use the slice tool a lot to export gif frames (yes yes I know we have motion now lol but still) and being able to toggle the visibility of any layer off without deselecting the slice layer makes exporting a lot faster. Now I have to go through all the layers to locate the slice layer again and re-select it. Hopefully it's not an intentional update.

I mostly work on the desktop app, but the issue is present on the browser version too and across all my files.

Glad to hear the click-and-drag toggle is behaving again for you. That lines up with what I found on our end too: the team merged a fix for it last week, so the timing checks out.

I'll close this thread out. One thing though, you'd also flagged that clicking the eye icon was auto-selecting the layer you're hiding. If that's still happening, feel free to open a new thread (or just reply here) with those same details from before, browser vs desktop app, and whether it's every file, so we can make sure that piece gets tracked on its own. If it's sorted too, no need to do anything at all.
