Figma started out as a tool primarily focused on prototyping, with a focus on accessibility and collaboration. Limiting the sharing of prototype links on the sStarter platform goes against this spirit.

This alienates non-users from the platform, creating unnecessary barriers and, apparently, only with the aim of monetizing more.

I think the company should maintain the possibility of sharing prototypes separately — even if it were limited to one at a time — so that designers and teams can continue to show their work to clients, stakeholders or colleagues without requiring everyone to have an account.

Continuing with this limitation could end up shooting themselves in the foot. Many users should start considering more open alternatives, which could be detrimental to the image and growth of the platform in the future.

What is your opinion on this?

You are still free to share any file or a prototype in the Starter team and the viewers don’t need a Figma account to view it. Just make sure that you share a link with a anyone can view access.

This has already been done. When you try to apply the "Anyone" option, the limitation message already appears informing you that it is not possible to share separate prototypes.

Now i get it. You tried to lock the file and share only the prototype, but as far as i know, it was always a paid option. If you want to share a prototype to everyone in Starter team, you need to change the access to anyone can view in your file first.
