Hello!
I am a community advocate for FOF, Sofia for Bulgaria and we experience difficulties when we want to use Bulgarian Cyrillic in several fonts with the “Stylistic sets” feature, but Bulgarian Cyrillic just doesn’t work. When I try the same in Adobe Illustrator for example - there are no problems. The only solution we’re able to find is to change the font’s core defaults to this type of Cyrillic, otherwise, it is impossible to use the stylistic set in Figma.

Dear @Figma, as a designer I understand what an edge case is, and I encourage you to do better. If you claim the title of global industry standard, then take on the responsibility of being inclusive of a global user base. Our script matters.
In spite of the “medium amount of effort” required, I encourage you to embrace the 21st century, in which colonialism is no longer awesome. I bring this up because your neglect contributes to an erasure of my identity from software and the web, reducing it to a type of Russian. Which is a weirdly anachronistic decision for a contemporary software company in 2024.
If you’re going to be global, be global.

Hey @Celine_Figma , I am giving a bump so you can folks notice how big of a need this is for our community. I hope you can revisit the priority on that as it is really important for how we build Bulgarian products in Figma.
