Question

Is there a way to turn off all the new features?

The features added to Figma in the past few years (FigJam, AI, Motion) is creating lag and additional complexity for a tool that was historically lightweight, collaborative, and easy to build UI for developers.

While I love the innovation, I wish I could turn off all these features so they don’t create unnecessary cognitive load while I’m working.

Thank you for your understanding.

Hey Devon — thanks for sharing your feedback.

I'd love to hear more about your comment on Figma being "historically lightweight." Is that mainly about having too many products crammed into one experience — Figma Design, Figma Make, FigJam, etc. all in your face at once? Would something like separating these into standalone apps help ease that feeling?

Also, are there specific products that feel like they're bogging things down the most, or is it more of a general visibility/clutter issue?

I want to make sure this gets passed along internally. I can't promise any specific outcome, but feedback like this is genuinely useful for us to have on record.

PS: if there also any issues/bugs you’re having in your files or overall Figma experience, please let me know that as well!
