Here’s a breakdown to help clarify:
Annual plans will always have a monthly plan attached and the monthly plan cannot be removed.
On the annual plan, you purchase a number of seats for the year. You’ll be invoiced annually for your plan subscription. When your annual plan renews, you can make adjustments to the number of seats on your plan.
When you add extra paid seats throughout your annual subscription term, Figma charges you a separate monthly subscription for just those seats. This helps you manage the cost of Figma if you have a portion of users who only need to pay for Figma for a short time. You'll have both an annual subscription, and a monthly subscription for any extra paid seats.
You will continue to get monthly invoices for newly added seats unless you proactively add those seats to your annual subscription or remove the seats.
It is expected to see both an annual and a monthly subscription if you've added seats beyond your original plan.
