Question

Horizontal scroll / carousel not possible in Figma Sites?

I’m trying to create a horizontal scroll section (basically a simple carousel) in Figma Sites, but it looks like this interaction isn’t supported at the moment.

Has anyone managed to make horizontal scrolling work?

If it’s currently impossible, is there any workaround or alternative to simulate a carousel?

Looks like it’s an ongoing issue, I have the same problem, very frustrating as the scroll behaviour Overflow dropdown is populated and can make selections, but they do not implement anything :(

Hey, I was starting to build a website, but I ran into the same problem... I think I'll have to change platforms.

Hey @thiago simbol! Thanks for your reply, and hello to everyone else on the thread! This can definitely be frustrating when you’ve added an interaction but it’s still not working.

I did some testing and have horizontal scrolling working for me with a block containing feature cards. In addition to adding a horizontal scroll interaction like @erwy added, make sure of the following with your containing layer:

    1. Flow is set to Horizontal.
    2. Clip content is checked.
    3. The width is set to Fill container.

You can see how I have things set up with the following two screenshots:

A shot of auto-layout settings on the Feature Cards layer.
A shot showing the interaction added to the Feature Cards layer.

If you’ve ensured that all of these are set correctly and it still not working, let me know and we’ll go from there.
