Hi! Sharing some notes from a couple of rounds of accessibility testing we did on our Figma Slides newsletter back in September 2024.

• Issues with video functionality
  • Screen magnification user - Video plays automatically when user navigates to slide - When media must play automatically, the user should be able to immediately stop playback with simple commands. WCAG 2.1 2.2.2: Pause, Stop, Hide
  • Participant using Dragan Naturally could not play video on slide
• Issues with elements that are only disclosed on hover (left-right slide navgiation)
  • Dragan doesn't work well with elements that are only disclosed on hover
• Dragan user not sure what slide they are on
• Overall, Dragan user recommended a different format for the newsletter since they had a number of challenges navigating
