contrast checker wrong

The contrast checker is wrong as far as I can see. 

 

I checked the same colour on the same background in the same element and got 2 different reading. One said pass and one said fail and the pass was 3.29:1 when a pass should be 4.5:1

It’s hard to see what the background color is from your screenshot. Are you able to provide the hex code? 

We can flag this over to our accessibility team to try and reproduce the issue.
