I had thought It would replace content based on a prompt. My use-case: I had a list of items and wanted to have them replace with the latest content. Ideally, I could paste in my unformatted list and it would put that into my list component I had selected. Instead it did more of a copy edit on the existing content.
What is the purpose of this option, versus “Rewrite this...”
The “Replace content” action is supposed to regenerate content based on your input without including the selected text. Right now, though, it seems buggy because the selected content is still being included.
“Rewrite this...” will include your selected content in the prompt so the AI will make changes to it instead of writing from scratch.
