The captcha puzzles to verify your login might be the most ridiculous thing I’ve seen in my entire life. I’m supposed to match a pattern to an image with an astronaut standing on top of said pattern so I can’t even see it. And the image is AI generated so the pattern isn’t even an exact match anyways. And I also have to do 3-5 of these just to login. Captcha has always been an AI training tool but at least it used to not be so blatant.

The puzzle you're seeing is our Arkose captcha, and its whole job is to help us tell real people apart from bots and automated signups. How often it shows up and how tricky it gets isn't the same for everyone. It adjusts based on signals like your browser, network, and device, so most people don't run into a visible puzzle at all. For what it's worth, this step is tied to creating your account or resetting your password. It's not something designed to show up every time you log in going forward.
A few things that tend to cut down on how often it trips people up:
- Make sure your browser's up to date, and try clearing its cache
- Turn off ad blockers or other extensions while you're going through it
- Try a different browser if you're able to
- If you're on a VPN or a shared/corporate network, try a different one
