It was brought up a while ago, but, I think it still makes sense for new frames to have Auto Layout enabled by default. Without it, the development paradigm is “everything is `position: absolute`” and pulled out of document flow. Yes, native (iOS, Android) paradigms approach layout by adding flow but I think Figma is far and away used more for web design.

That would be much better; my current workflow is pressing Shift+A after a new frame is added. I'd love having auto-layout by default in everything, making frames and groups deprioritized.
