A love letter to Figma, from Bashkortostan

My name is Gleb. I'm a producer at a regional TV channel in Bashkortostan, Russia, and this is my Figma love story. I found Figma in 2022. Before that I had tried several times to learn Photoshop and the tools around it, and failed every single time  I just bounced off them. Then, after everything that happened in 2022, I realised I had to level up my skills if I wanted to earn more and provide for my family. A post about Figma showed up in my feed, I decided to give it a try, and it was love at first sight. The interface was so clear that I only opened a tutorial when I was truly stuck. I remember barely leaving my desk for a week, digging through the software and enjoying every minute of it. Figma replaced everything for me — Photoshop, PowerPoint, Miro, all of it. And a special thank-you for Community. That is where I go for inspiration, where I train my eye and learn from people far better than me. Now, how Figma changed my life. 2025 was financially hard. My wife was pregnant, we were getting ready for our daughter, and money was tight. I decided to bet everything on producing, and started building proposals and pitch decks almost every week all of them in Figma. That bet worked largely because of how those decks looked. A proposal built in Figma got me into rooms I had no business being in: large industrial corporations and federal institutions, including Russian Copper Company and the state geological museum. More than once a client told me the deck was the reason they took the meeting in the first place. By the end of the year I had delivered several projects I am genuinely proud of, including a documentary that won an award at an international film festival. And at home: we renovated part of our flat, I bought my first car so I can drive my wife and daughter around, we paid for the delivery at a good clinic, and we were properly ready for our girl. I honestly doubt any of that would have happened without Figma. I won't pretend I don't dream about being part of your team one day  if you ever have a place for a producer who thinks in frames and components, I would love to talk. But that is not why I wrote this. I wrote it because you deserve to hear what your product does for people you will never meet. Thank you to you and the whole team. You change lives. You changed mine.
