I have been using Figma Maker for some time. Today, I started working on a formal project using Figma maker, but it took me the whole afternoon to try different prompt. Then, I was informed that my credit had reached the limit and I couldn't use it this month. I would have to wait until next month to use it again!

First of all, could I please purchase some additional credits? The project can't wait. If I have to wait until next month to use them, then I'll have to redo it using other software, which will also delay the progress.

Secondly, the educational version of Figma Maker fails to show the exact credit limit for each month. The official website only displays the credit usage for other membership levels such as Pro. This has led people to mistakenly believe that the educational version has unlimited capacity.

Thirdly, the credit consumed by each use of Figma Maker's prompt is not displayed to the user in real time. We don't know exactly how much credit we have used and how much is remaining. This makes it impossible to effectively plan and implement the overall cost of the project and the process of credit consumption.

So I sincerely request the Figma team to please take a look and help me figure out how to resume using Figma Maker as soon as possible, and also how to enable me to better monitor my credit usage.
Thank you!

Hi @ino,

I understand that you’ve reached the AI credit limit on your Education team and would like to either purchase additional credits or find a way to continue using Figma Make without waiting for the monthly reset.

At this time, purchasing additional AI credits isn’t available yet. However, later in 2025, we’re planning to introduce the ability to purchase extra AI credits for power users.

I’ll share your feedback with our team regarding the clarity of the Help Center information and the difficulty of tracking AI credit consumption.

For now, credit limits are enforced monthly for Education accounts, as mentioned here: How AI credits work. You’ll see an in-product message when you’ve reached your AI credit limit, along with information about when your credits will reset.

I also checked on our backend — it looks like you currently have access to both an Education team and a Professional team.
If you have a Full seat in your Professional team, AI credit limits are not being strictly enforced there until the purchase option becomes available. You may want to try using Figma Make within your Professional team as an alternative solution.

If you need to move your file, you can follow the steps outlined here: Move a file

If you have additional feedback or further questions about AI credit limits for your Education team, please reach out directly to education@figma.com.

Thanks,

Thank you, @Junko3 for answering my question!

Also, thank you for reminding me about the Professional team. However, after my check, this slot is currently full and cannot be generated anymore.

So if there is no way to purchase the credit, how can i continue creating the project without Figma make?

Hi there,

Unfortunately, you’ll need to wait until your AI credits refresh.

I checked on our backend again today, and it looks like your Professional team subscription has already been canceled, so you currently only have access to a free Education team and a free Starter team. That’s why you’re seeing the “AI credits running out” message in both teams.

If you’d like to get more AI credits right now, you’ll need to upgrade your seat or plan. We’re also planning to introduce the option to purchase additional AI credits for power users later this year — so please stay tuned!

Thanks,
