zoom out limit

is there any reason why i now can not zoom out to see all the content? as figma is using ZUI (zoomable user interface) principles in its core, this is quite unfortunate as now there is no possibility to overview the file before zooming in to the sections

i just checked my file and realised that my objects (photos) there were probably really too big (my content is 100000px wide :) ) and i just hit the limit i never hit before. it could make sense to allow users to zoom out even this huge canvas, but i understand that not everything is possible as there are also some computing or other limits. thanks for help, i just overlooked the sizes

Hey ​@Milan Uhercik — thanks for flagging this!

A quick one to start: Does the Shift+1 zoom to fit keyboard shortcut bring everything into view? This should fit the entire page within your current viewport. I this is happening in a Figma Design file, you can also trigger it from the zoom percentage options menu in the right sidebar → Zoom to fit.

If that's not working as expected, a few more things worth checking:

  1. Browser versus Figma Desktop App. Are you running into this in both, or just one?
  2. Content dimensions. How spread out is the content on your canvas? Content placed very far from the origin can sometimes affect zoom and scroll behavior.
  3. Figma Design, FigJam, or both? Just to make sure we're looking in the right place as I test this out on my end.

If none of the above helps narrow it down, let me know the approximate dimensions or coordinate range of your content and I'll dig deeper with the team.
