Just to confirm, users with view access can copy text from the canvas. However, there is a setting available to impose restrictions.

Could you please take a look at the advanced sharing settings for each file?

Here's how:

1. Click CShare] in the right sidebar.
2. Select the current sharing permissions.
3. Make sure the “Viewers can copy, share, and export from this file” setting is enabled.

UPDATE: We finally managed the issue. The problem is related to roles and permissions within Figma. Dev Team used to had access to an specific design, and this design was linked to the task on the sprint. Few days after, the design was moved somewhere else, the permission to access the file was revoked while the link in the sprint task stood remain. Dev Team clicked on that link to review the design and the problem is within a bug in Figma that still permits to get enter this design which has been actually removed from the dev team permissions. So no permissions no edition, okay, but why are the able to still having access to that design with no permissions at all???

​@Junko3 Thanks for the tip. Finally the issue was different from what we could expect, more related to a Figma bug with permissions to get enter into designs from old links once the permission is revoked.
