Why can't I copy/paste interactions anymore?

It worked completely fine before last release. It’s disrupting my workflow tremendously.

Is that expected? or is it a bug?

Hi everyone — thanks so much for all the detail, collaboration, and testing you brought in here.

Good news to share: After touching base with the Technical Quality team, they've confirmed Engineering pushed a fix that should resolve this. If you haven't already, please close and reopen your files — after that, copying individual interactions should work as expected again. ✅

If anyone's still seeing it after reopening, let us know here and we'll dig back in. Thanks again!

Hi, it still not working for me. Cmd+C won’t trigger on a selected Interaction on the Prototype panel. Can we have a “Copy/Paste” option on the right clic menu on those? I really think it would help with this issue. We have the “Move” options which are so easy to do on mouse drag already. A small addition to this menu to get the interaction in the Clipboard would be fantastic.

I did more tests. It looks like that if the Interaction have too many line of codes, it won’t go to the Clipboard. Is there a line code limits on Interaction Copy/Paste function?

I did even more tests. I’ve retyped the entire Interaction and this new one can be copy/pasted. So it seams that some interactions can become corrupted and become unavailable to the copy function.

Hey @Martin_Goudreault1 — catching up here, and thank you for testing this so thoroughly. The pattern you've found is really useful: Interactions with a lot going on (referring to the many lines of codes) won't copy but retyping one from scratch fixes it. I still haven't been able to reproduce it on my end, so I've opened a case on your behalf to dig in properly: 2106329. I'll follow up by email with how to share the affected file with our Technical Quality team. From there, we can pin down what's happening on those specific interactions and escalate for review.

I'll also pass your suggestion for a right-click Copy/Paste option along as product feedback. Appreciate you thinking through fixes with us. 🙏🏻
