WHILE HOVERING INTERACTION NOT WORKING

Interaction is not working properly. For example, I have an interaction where clicking it should go to the next variant. However, when I hover over it, the variant changes to the hover state even though the interaction is not supposed to trigger on hover.

Hi ​@RDF, 

 

I understand you're experiencing an unexpected behavior in your prototype where hovering over an instance of an interactive component triggers a "Change to" action, even though you set the trigger to "On click."

 

Could you check whether you have any regular interactions added on top of the variant interactions?

If so, when you stack interactions with different triggers (e.g. a variant interaction set to "While hovering" and a regular interaction set to "On click"), Figma will play both interactions simultaneously, which may explain the behavior you're seeing.

If your prototype is still not working as expected after checking the above, please submit a bug report so our team can take a closer look at your specific setup:

  1. Go to the Support Hub
  2. Type "Report a bug" and click Start a chat
  3. In the form, please include:
    • The URL of the file with Can view access granted to support-share@figma.com (this won't affect your billing)
    • A screen recording of the issue
